Leave enough space

Keep room for other applications on the taskbar. Begin with a short track title, then try a longer one to check the available space.

Text and contrast

Text should remain readable against your taskbar background. Check the contrast again after changing your system theme.

Long titles

Long titles help reveal crowded layouts. Avoid making the text too small just to display more of the title.

Display scaling

If you use several displays, check each one separately. Note the display scaling values when reporting size-related issues.

Change one setting at a time

1. Note your current settings.
2. Change one appearance option.
3. Compare the result using the same song.
4. Move on only when you are happy with the result.
